When did Nestlé start operation in Indonesia?

Nestlé Indonesia is a subsidiary of Nestlé S.A., which is headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, and has been in operation for 150 years.

As a leading company in nutrition, health and wellness, Nestlé started operation in Indonesia in 1971. Nestlé Indonesia currently employs around 3,400 employees and has four factories, namely Kejayan Factory in East Java to produce dairy products such as DANCOW and BEAR BRAND, Panjang Factory in Lampung to produce NESCAFÉ instant coffee, Cikupa Factory in Banten to produce confectionery products such as FOX'S, POLO and CRUNCH, and Karawang Factory in West Java to produce DANCOW, MILO and CERELAC.

Are Nestlé products produced and distributed in Indonesia halal-certified?

Yes, all products that are manufactured and marketed by PT Nestlé Indonesia are halal-certified. All our factories in Indonesia have obtained the Halal Assurance System (Sistem Jaminan Halal - SJH) certificate from the Assessment Institute for Foods, Drugs and Cosmetics of the Indonesian Council of Ulema (Lembaga Pengkajian Pangan, Obat-obatan dan Kosmetika Majelis Ulama Indonesia - LPPOM MUI).
