Nestlé Indonesia won second place from seven companies awarded the Indonesia Green Company 2017.
Indonesia Green Companies is organized by SWA every year to select the best companies in managing an environmentally-friendly business. This year is the third time in a row that Nestlé Indonesia won the award.
At the beginning of the selection process, 100 companies were invited to participate in the program. The invited companies are those with a PROPER rating of minimum Blue or registered in the list of SRI KEHATI index.
The award was then given to companies achieving the highest scores in four criteria. First, on the aspects of CEO commitment, compliance, concept and strategy. Second, on the aspects of implementation steps. Third, on the programs' sustainability. Fourth, on concrete results and impact. Nestlé Indonesia achieved a total score of 81.10 from those four aspects.
Through various efforts made in our factories, Nestlé Indonesia managed to achieve efficiency in water usage, efficiency in energy usage, efficiency in emission and waste reduction. "This is part of our commitment to ensure that our products are manufactured responsibly," said Debora R. Tjandrakusuma, Legal & Corporate Affairs Director of Nestlé Indonesia.
